About Me!
My husband, Mike, and I moved several times early on in our marriage, and finally settled in Maryville in 2001. We have two boys, Zach and Nathan. When our youngest son started Kindergarten, I returned to The University of Tennessee, Knoxville to complete my Masters in Elementary Education. I later obtained my Ed.S. degree at Lincoln Memorial University in Curriculum and Instruction. I loved being a stay-at-home mom, but I was excited to start a new adventure in my life. I started teaching at Sam Houston in 2010, and I can't say enough positive things about it. I love the people I get to work with, the facility and resources available, and most of all the children and families I have contact with daily.
My family lives just up the street from Sam Houston, and I enjoy walking to and from school each day. My youngest child plays soccer, and I love cheering for him during weekend games. My oldest son, Zach, is a freshman at UT this year. Most of my time outside of school is spent with my boys. If I am away from them, you may find me reading a book or running long distances with my dog, Jackal. I love an outdoor adventure or traveling to new places.
