Thank you Dr. H2O for helping us Dive into more Ocean fun with your engaging presentation about sea creatures! We touched a squid and pretended to be one! We got an up close view of several sea creatures, learned about the food chain, and learned about the different layers of the ocean.

How fun! We had Titanic "survivors" visit our classroom and share their stories! We heard about life vests, food, and cabins on the ship! We also read about Polar the stuffed animal from the voyage. Little Frankie and the Unsinkable Molly Brown told stories and facts about the Titanic through the ABCs of the Titanic.
This week, we read The Kite from Days with Frog and Toad. We designed our own kites, tested and redesigned them. Did our design fly? How could we make improvements? With the rainy weather on Friday, we used a fan to simulate the wind's effect on our kites. Did our kite float or rise or did it hang and sink? What were the best materials to choose? Ask your child about t heir kite design. Maybe you could help them redesign their kite and find a successful design! |
