In case you were unable to make it to your presentation of The First Thanksgiving, here is a video link to our Reader's Theater. I am very proud of tehir progress. Several words were beyond their ability initially. After practicing lines, our fluency increased and our vocabulary word bank grew! Do you think you could make playdoh with flour, salt, and water? These teams were challenged to determine a recipe, mix ingredients, and make improvements! This week, we are studying solid figures, and our challenge was connected. Our playdoh had to hold a shape! Can we make playdoh a form a sphere? We had two successful teams!One creative team even built a snowman! This is FUN learning! This week, we are reading A Cupcake Party. After reading the story about Fritz's party, we decided to throw a party! First, we brainstormed all the things we would need for a party. Then we sorted them into categories. Mrs. Buffie will take care of the decorations, Mrs. Dulin is handling the food and paper products, and the kids are in charge of GAMES!
After reading games instructions to Candyland, Sorry, and a Memory Match game, we think we understand the importance of setup, rules, and an explanation of how to win. Next, we divided into teams and received our materials. Each team got the same materials to choose from:
